FLUSHING, NEW YORK, (SMI-SPORTS-08.29-09.11.22)-The 2022 US Open Grand slam concluded after 11-days of competition Today, as sensation 19-year and rising-star "Carlos Alcaraz" from Spain defeated Casper Ruud(Norway: World#5) in 3-sets (6-2,2-6,7-6,6-3) in the championship title game of the 2022 US Open, winning his first major title at Arthur Ashe Stadium in Flushing Meadows, NY.
 
With the victory, Alcaraz became the youngest player to win the men's single title since Peter Sampras won the US open in 1990 and took the #1 spot in men's single world ranking.

Carlos Alcaraz wins the 2022 US open Men's single title and as a champion claimed the prize of $2,600,000 while runner-up Casper Ruud grabbed the second place prize of $1,300,000.
