FLUSHING, NEW YORK, (SMI-SPORTS-08.29-09.11.22)-The 2022 US Open Grand slam concluded after 11-days of competition Today, as sensation 19-year and rising-star "Carlos Alcaraz" from Spain defeated Casper Ruud(Norway: World#5) in 3-sets (6-2,2-6,7-6,6-3) in the championship title game of the 2022 US Open, winning his first major title at Arthur Ashe Stadium in Flushing Meadows, NY.
With the victory, Alcaraz became the youngest player to win the men's single title since Peter Sampras won the US open in 1990 and took the #1 spot in men's single world ranking.
The Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz beat or outperformed the Norwegian Ruud in 10 out 14 stats categories: Aces: 14-4, Service points won: 87-77, Games Won:21-19, and others stats results can be found below:
