Defeats Danielle Collins in 2-Sets and Wins the 2022 Australian Open..!

MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA (SMI-SPORTS, 01.24-01.30.22)-The 2-times Grand Slam champion of Australia " Ashleigh Barty" triumphs over American Danielle Collins in 2-sets 6-3, 7-6(7-2) in the women's single championship match and wins her third Grand-slam crown at the 2022 Australia Open at Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne.

With the victory, Barty made history for Australia becoming the first Aussie women tennis professional player to win the women's single crown at home since Christine O'Neill did it in 1978.

The Aussie won the first set 6-3, very comfortably that lasted only 32' minute but she had to overcome the deficit of 5-1, in the second set when she rallied with 4-straight game to tied the set 5-5, winning the next 7 out 9 points in a tiebreak and finishing the game hitting her 14 powerful forehand point to win the second set 7-6(7-2) and the match in 2 sets, claiming her first Australian Open crown and third overall Grand Slam title in her career.

" It's absolutely incredible I think as a Aussie we're exceptionally lucky to be a grand slam nation to get to experience to play home is really special and to be here as a champion of the tournament is really exiting." Said Ashleigh Barty at post-game press conference after winning the 2022 Australian Open.

In addition to winning the 2022 Australian Crown, Ashleigh Barty also won the tournament prize money of  US$2,009,000, while Danielle Collins received the $1,575, 000 for finishing in second place in the tournament.d out.
